Today we welcomed two new faces into our game. Mark (Prince Charles) and David are both regular players at Luton and thought they would like to give our game a shot . As they both knew some of the people at our game from Luton, they settled in very quickly. Mark was amazed at the “organization” of our game. If he really knew me, he would know I don’t do things by halves . Unfortunately, mark walked into Quads with his Nut Flush only 25 minutes into the game and ended up dealing for the next 4 hours. I still think he had a lot of fun tho. David seemed to be in his element. He stayed for the 2nd and 3rd games that ran on til the early hours. On a sad note: Ship and JK made their final regular appearances to our game. Matt (Ship) is off to work in Canada for a large company and is not likely to be making regular visits back. We hope that if he does make it back, he will drop in on one of our games . JK is off to sunny Spain (South, as he kept telling everyone). JK WILL be coming back to play but obviously we wont see him as often as we used to. Considering he never missed a game since he started coming, he will be greatly missed at the game . By 7.30pm, Kevin, Dan and Mark were all in their cars on their way to Luton to chance their luck there (as they had none at ours ). Kevin had a bit of a result so I’m sure he thought it was worth going. The day also saw an amazing amount of Quads . Prince Charles was knocked out by the Ship within the first 25 mins with Quad 9s. I (AwesomeAli) then took our Michael (Worzil) with Quad 6s Vs his pocket Kings. I was knocked out of the 2nd game when I was all in pre-flop with AK and Richard called with JJ. The flop saw one of the Jacks and the river brought the other. ANOTHER set of Quads. Later on there were two more lots of Quads. Dan (The Muscle) knocked out Andrew (L.G.F.) with a straight flush to Andrews A high flush. So all in all a day of monster hands, never seen before at our game. Dickster and Worzil managed to organize their heads up match. I was still in the main comp so didn’t note how long it took or what sort of moves were being pulled. I do know tho, that it was won by Worzil . Well done to him and good luck in the next round. We decided to have a real change with the food this month and opted for Chinese. 2 set meals and some side dishes later , everyone was totally pigged out and ready to . But no, we carried on with poker – as ya do . Having been in some agony during the day with my back, I thought I would try and disguise the pain with alcohol. So I introduced the guys to a Cheeky Vimpto (Blue WKD with two shots of Port). Within half an hour, my back pain was irrelevant and I was happily singing away to myself . One last thing to report: Jonty has gone blonde again . Take a look at the pics and judge for yourself.
